CMU's finance program equips you with comprehensive business knowledge across all areas. This program readies graduates for roles in finance, investment, banking, and executive leadership. It's an ideal path for aspiring CEOs, as finance remains the most common educational background among top executives. The curriculum focuses on three key finance sectors: corporate finance, investments, and financial institutions. Corporate finance covers decision-making processes within companies, while investments focuses on security analysis and portfolio management. Financial institutions training prepares students for careers with banks, credit unions, insurance firms, and similar organizations. The program's goal is to develop future leaders capable of excelling in global finance and business. Graduates will master capital budgeting techniques, assess risk-return dynamics in financial decisions, and gain expertise in derivatives valuation and trading practices.
