Your studies will encompass character development, storyboard creation, 3D modeling and lighting techniques, character movement, and special effects animation. Throughout the program, you'll have multiple chances to assemble an impressive professional portfolio. Animation combines various skills, methods, and technologies to communicate through movement, design, and visual storytelling. At CMU, animation students grow their artistic perspective and technical abilities within an encouraging, creative environment. The program introduces students to animation as both a professional field and globally recognized art form. Media options range from hand-drawn techniques to stop-motion and digital 3D animation.
