Our program provides educational flexibility to accommodate your needs. You can opt for full-time or part-time study based on your availability. Additionally, you'll have a choice between a 30-credit-hour coursework path—with diverse specialization options including biochemistry, electrochemistry, solar energy, and others—or pursuing research through the thesis track. Typically, the MS degree can be completed in two years or fewer. Part-time graduate students may enroll in MS coursework, while thesis research is exclusively available to full-time students. The initial year's curriculum is nearly identical for both MS and PhD candidates. MS students may transition to the PhD program with departmental approval. Note that the department does not offer tuition assistance or stipends for Master's degree students.
