To obtain a master's degree, a student must meet both the School of Graduate Studies' general criteria and the department's specific requirements. Upon enrollment, every graduate student receives an academic advisor. This advisor's main role is to assist in designing a comprehensive course of study that fulfills degree obligations while accommodating the student's individual interests. With their advisor's guidance, students must submit an academic plan outlining how they'll complete their graduate degree requirements. Those pursuing a thesis will additionally assemble a thesis committee, led by their research advisor, to provide guidance and assess both the written thesis and its oral defense.

Qualification Requirements
The holder of a bachelor's degree from any accredited college or university is eligible for consideration for admission to our graduate program. It is normally expected that entering graduate students will possess basic competence in advanced calculus and linear algebra.Transcripts or degree certifications in languages other than English, must be accompanied by an English translation. If accepted, the School of Graduate Studies will need official copies of both the English and original language version submitted, not just the English version. Scanned copies sent by email or PDF are not considered official, official copies must be in a sealed envelope from the university or come via encrypted email directly from the university. All transcripts, degree certifications and translations will become the property of the School of Graduate Studies. Do not send official transcripts until you have been formally accepted.
