Case Western Reserve University School of Law currently provides two types of Master of Law Programs, available either as a full-time nine-month course or a part-time option spanning up to four years, with the possibility to combine it with another graduate degree through a dual-degree program. Classes are conducted at the law school with daytime scheduling, along with some late-afternoon, evening, and summer course offerings. Admission is highly selective, with only a small number of students accepted annually.
Our 30-credit Master of Law Degree caters to both U.S. and internationally trained undergraduate or graduate students without a prior law degree who seek U.S. legal education without pursuing a full JD at this stage. This program benefits students aiming for careers in related fields that don't require a JD, those seeking legal knowledge as part of a dual graduate degree without intending to practice law, and individuals looking to strengthen their qualifications before applying to JD programs.
