Burke Center for Environmental Law. Established in 2019 with a $10 million gift from graduate Coleman P. Burke, the Center provides externships and financial aid for new environmental law students. Burke, a prominent environmental advocate, has held leadership roles with institutions like the National Audubon Society, National Forest Foundation, Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, and Yale Peabody Museum of Natural History. During 2019-2020, the Center commemorates the 50th year of the U.S. Environmental Protection Act with conferences, guest lectures, and academic publications. The spring conference focusing on environmental health topics will be co-hosted with our Law-Medicine Center.
