The undergraduate program in the history and philosophy of science is jointly provided by the Philosophy and History Departments. This interdisciplinary major aims to cultivate a humanistic perspective on scientific inquiry and its evolution by integrating philosophical analysis with historical approaches. The curriculum prepares students for advanced studies across various academic fields and supports career paths in business, healthcare, legal professions, policy-making, and science communication. Students have the flexibility to pair this major with scientific disciplines and can specialize in either philosophy of science, physical sciences history, or biological/medical sciences history.

Qualification Requirements

International applicants to Case Western Reserve follow the same deadlines and process as domestic students. CWRU also requires English translations, if applicable, for academic records and recommendations.
