Students pursuing earth, environmental, and planetary sciences gain a strong foundation in core scientific and mathematical principles alongside specialized training in their chosen field. Given geology's diverse applications, the program encourages students to select electives aligned with their career aspirations, whether in geological engineering or environmental policy and law. Undergraduate education emphasizes hands-on learning, including fieldwork, alongside traditional coursework. The environmental geology track blends geological science with fundamental and practical science courses, equipping graduates with environmental expertise, job-ready skills, and preparation for advanced studies. Every student completes a three-semester Senior Project involving research proposal development, execution, thesis writing, and departmental presentation.
