The Master of Science in Accountancy (MSA) equips students with diverse career prospects across public accounting, corporate finance, government agencies, nonprofits, and academia. This program develops graduates who 1) demonstrate expertise in professional accounting practices, 2) qualify for industry certifications (CPA, CMA, etc.), 3) emerge as ethical leaders in their field, and 4) may pursue advanced doctoral research.
The online MSA option delivers the standard curriculum through digital platforms via the College of Extended and Global Education.
The MSA 3:2 Option offers CSUSB accounting majors an accelerated pathway, enabling concurrent completion of bachelor's and master's degrees. This unique track permits undergraduates to apply select junior/senior year electives toward graduate credit. The 3:2 pathway facilitates a smooth transition from undergraduate to graduate studies, allowing transfer of up to three 5000-level courses (ACCT 5440, ACCT 5360, and ACCT 5390) from undergraduate to graduate records for admitted students.
