Discover the National Security Studies (NSS) graduate program at California State University, San Bernardino (CSUSB), a unique initiative focused on U.S. national security education. As the sole program of its kind in the California State University system and among only a handful nationwide, our program has been shaping security professionals since 1986. The NSS program proudly hosts the CSU Intelligence Community Center of Academic Excellence (CSU-ACE), established in 2006 through significant funding from the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI). This distinction was further reinforced in 2012 when the Defense Intelligence Agency awarded us additional funding to maintain our status as an Intelligence Community Center of Academic Excellence (IC CAE).
Our fully accredited Master of Arts (M.A.) program delivers an extensive curriculum grounded in strategic studies, preparing students for impactful careers within U.S. government agencies. Graduates of our program have gone on to serve in diverse security-related fields, including defense operations, intelligence analysis, security management, and counter-terrorism efforts.
