Certificates can be obtained by both regularly enrolled and extended learning students, recognizing the successful fulfillment of a structured curriculum aimed to:
develop specific professional, vocational, or career skills, or
achieve comprehensive knowledge in a specialized area of an academic discipline, or
offer an overview of materials within a conventional or emerging interdisciplinary subject.
Some certificate programs include 6000-level courses as mandatory or optional components. Undergraduate students are ineligible to enroll in these 6000-level courses. Participants must complete at least two-thirds of their certificate-eligible credits at the university. Credit transfers or course substitutions require approval from the relevant campus authority.
