The Health Services Administration Certificate program caters to students seeking to: 1) acquire understanding of the U.S. healthcare system and administrative positions across public, nonprofit, and private healthcare organizations, and 2) build essential healthcare management skills for career advancement.
Both degree-seeking and extended education students can earn certificates, which signify successful completion of a structured curriculum aimed at:
developing specific professional/vocational/career skills, or
achieving comprehensive knowledge in a specialized area of an academic discipline, or
exploring diverse content within conventional or new interdisciplinary subjects.
Some certificate programs include 600-level courses as mandatory or optional components. Undergraduate students are ineligible to enroll in these advanced courses. Participants must complete at least two-thirds of their certificate requirements through university coursework. Credit transfers or course substitutions require approval from the relevant campus officials.
