This certificate program examines how arts and restorative justice intersect from various academic viewpoints. It caters to students across diverse disciplines such as Art, Criminal Justice, Psychology, Anthropology, and Sociology by offering a structured curriculum that bridges creative fields with social justice studies. Participants will develop expertise in this expanding area through hands-on research, theoretical study, and practical application. The program requires completion of 24 units.
Both degree-seeking and extended education students can earn certificates, which signify the fulfillment of a specialized curriculum designed to:
develop specific professional or career skills, or
achieve comprehensive knowledge in a specialized academic area, or
offer broad exposure to subjects within established or emerging interdisciplinary fields.
Some certificate programs include 600-level courses as mandatory or optional components, which are unavailable to undergraduate students. Participants must complete at least two-thirds of their certificate coursework at the university. Credit transfers or course substitutions require approval from the relevant academic authorities.
