This program is designed for students aiming to earn a certificate, MSA, or CPA designation who cannot commute to CSUSB due to time or resource constraints. The certificate incorporates preparation for the CPA examination. Both matriculated and extended learning students can obtain these certificates, which signify successful completion of a structured curriculum intended to:
develop specific professional, vocational, or career skills, or
achieve expertise in a specialized area within an academic discipline, or
explore diverse content in traditional or emerging interdisciplinary subjects.
Some certificate programs include 600-level courses as mandatory or optional components, which are unavailable to undergraduate students. Participants must complete at least two-thirds of their certificate credits through the university. Credit transfers or course substitutions require approval from the relevant campus authority.
