For many years, our design department has proudly educated students in graphic design, equipping them for dynamic and rewarding careers in the field. To adapt to the fast-changing creative industry and employment landscape, we've broadened our curriculum. Starting Fall 2020, our BFA in Design program includes specializations in Interface Design (previously called graphic design), 3D Design (modeling and animation), Motion Design (motion graphics, video production, AR/VR), and Marketing (continuing our strong partnership with the campus Marketing Department).
While we maintain our BA in Art programs for Graphic Design (Plan IV) and Graphic Design & Marketing (Plan V) students completing their degrees, they can now explore innovative courses like Infographics & Data Visualization, Digital Fabrication, Storyboarding, VR Design, and more.
Additionally, we've introduced a streamlined BA in Design Studies, allowing students to more readily pursue dual majors in studio art, art history, or any other university program.
Our curriculum empowers students to thrive in today's design industry across both conventional and digital platforms.
