The Bachelor of Science in Family and Consumer Sciences offers a comprehensive foundation across key disciplines including Nutrition and Food Sciences, Fashion Merchandising and Management, as well as Family Studies and Human Development. This program equips graduates to pursue the Single Subject Teaching Credential necessary for teaching Family and Consumer Sciences/Home Economics at secondary education levels. Earning this degree fulfills the subject matter competency requirement for a teaching credential, exempting students from taking the CSET (California Subject Examinations for Teachers).
