The Exercise Science program's mission is to explore the scientific principles behind human body functions throughout life in relation to physical activity, exercise, and sports. The curriculum combines insights from biology, chemistry, and physiology, providing students with a comprehensive understanding of bodily functions at mechanical, cellular, organ, and systemic levels.
An Exercise Science degree opens doors to careers in cardiac rehabilitation, sports medicine, chiropractic care, athletic training, geriatrics, health-focused fitness programming (corporate and personal), and advanced scientific studies in graduate school.
The Clinical Exercise and Rehabilitation Specialist track equips students with the knowledge and skills needed for clinical rehabilitation environments. Graduates of this concentration pursue careers in cardiac rehab, clinical exercise physiology, electrophysiology, and advanced clinical programs like Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and other healthcare professions.
