The Ethics, Politics, and Law concentration serves as excellent preparation for legal studies or advanced work in applied ethics. This program equips undergraduates with critical thinking skills for rational decision-making, demonstrating how these analytical abilities have wide-ranging practical uses.
Students gain knowledge of moral and legal frameworks while developing practical skills for applying these concepts. The curriculum challenges learners to analyze specific cases objectively, articulate their conclusions and reasoning clearly and convincingly, and defend their judgments by demonstrating how they logically follow from established principles while considering potential counterarguments. Special attention is given to developing strong written communication abilities.

An applicant who has not completed any post-secondary education after high school is considered a first-time freshman applicant. If there is a gap between the time you graduated high school and when you are applying to the University, but have not attempted or completed any college or university coursework, you are still considered a first-time freshman.
