The Liberal Studies program offers an interdisciplinary major that spans diverse fields of knowledge through a multidisciplinary curriculum. Tailored for students pursuing careers as elementary or special education teachers in California or those interested in interdisciplinary learning, the program's foundation includes coursework in reading, language and literature, mathematics, natural sciences, history and social sciences, visual and performing arts, physical education, human development, health, and practical field experience.

Approved by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing, the Liberal Studies major equips future educators with comprehensive knowledge across multiple disciplines.
