The Film Program provides cross-disciplinary studies covering film production, history, theory, analysis, and screenwriting. This major fosters comprehensive knowledge of cinematic artistry and craft, exploring its multifaceted elements and the visionary creators who have influenced countless filmmakers. A shared foundational curriculum in film analysis and production is mandatory for all students. Following this core, learners choose to specialize in either Film Production or Cinema Studies. The program delivers interdisciplinary education in filmmaking techniques, historical context, theoretical frameworks, critical approaches, and writing. Its goal is cultivating profound insight into motion picture artistry and practice, examining its intricate aspects and the pioneering filmmakers who've shaped the industry. All participants must complete the fundamental courses establishing film critique and production basics. Subsequently, they opt for either the film studies or production specialization, with guidance from the Film Coordinator.
