The Mathematics department provides a Master of Science program with three distinct tracks: Pure Mathematics (Track I), Applied Mathematics (Track II), and Statistics (Track III). Each track equips students for advanced graduate studies, professional mathematical roles in industry, business, and government sectors, or teaching positions at community colleges.
Track I focuses on foundational preparation for community college instruction, industry entry-level roles, or pursuing doctoral studies in mathematics. This curriculum centers on rigorous exploration of contemporary mathematical disciplines—algebra, analysis, and topology.
Track II concentrates on Applied Mathematics, preparing graduates for initial positions in industrial, corporate, or governmental settings, or for further specialized study in applied mathematical fields.
Track III is tailored for students targeting entry-level opportunities in industry or government agencies, or continuing education in statistics. The program emphasizes comprehensive training in modern statistical theory, computational methods, and probability, while providing practical exposure to diverse real-world applications.
