The Bachelor of Arts in Sociology offers a comprehensive liberal arts education, equipping students with critical thinking skills, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to apply sociological theories to practical situations. Students learn to gather, assess, and interpret data, conduct research projects, and appreciate diversity-related matters. These competencies open doors to diverse career paths including social services, data analysis, nonprofit leadership, education, human resources, and community development. The program also serves as excellent preparation for advanced studies in sociology and similar disciplines. Students may opt to specialize in one of three areas: Social Welfare and Justice, Inequality and Diversity, or Social Movements and Political Sociology.
