BA in Music - Music Industry Studies in Northridge United States | California State University, Northridge

The Bachelor of Arts in Music with a focus on Music Industry Studies (MIS) equips students for leadership and management roles in the music business (entrance audition required). This program combines musical artistry with business principles. Alongside core music training like private lessons and ensemble performances, students explore an interdisciplinary approach to understanding the commercial aspects of the music world. Hands-on learning is prioritized, with opportunities to apply knowledge through internships, student-led events, and participation in a faculty-guided, student-operated record label (Five of Five Music Entertainment). The program concludes with a professional internship in the music industry.
