The Art and Design Department provides a comprehensive program tailored for students seeking a liberal arts education in creative fields. Aspiring artists can access diverse avenues to showcase their talents and secure career opportunities post-graduation. The program allows students to experiment with various artistic disciplines before selecting the specialization that aligns with their skills and passions.
The Bachelor of Arts curriculum caters to students pursuing: (1) liberal arts with an art focus, (2) specialized art training, (3) graduate school preparation, (4) professional art careers, or (5) art education credentials.
All Art majors must complete foundational lower and upper division courses. Students then customize their degree by choosing electives from one or more concentration areas within the department. The program also includes interdisciplinary experiences to enhance professional development and career prospects.
