The Master of Science in Kinesiology equips students to (a) advance professionally in fields like exercise and fitness, rehabilitation, therapeutic exercise, physical education, community leadership, or sports industries, and (b) pursue doctoral studies in Kinesiology or related disciplines. Graduation requires completing 30 units. The Kinesiology program offers both Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees, preparing students for careers in designing and overseeing health-focused exercise initiatives in settings like fitness clubs, corporate wellness centers, and healthcare facilities. It also trains professionals to create rehabilitation programs for individuals with disabilities, lead physical activity initiatives in community organizations (such as YMCAs or recreation centers), teach physical education or adapted PE in schools, and coach athletic teams at various levels. Additionally, the program provides foundational knowledge for those aiming to pursue advanced degrees in Kinesiology or allied health fields.
