The School Psychology Program at California State University, Los Angeles is a graduate-level offering under the Division of Special Education and Counseling in the College of Education. This program enables students to obtain a Master of Science in Counseling with a specialization in School Psychology (requiring 73-77 units). The specialization includes credentials for Advanced Authorization in School Counseling, Pupil Personnel Services, and Child Welfare and Attendance: School Psychology. Designed to train counselors with a family-systems approach, graduates qualify to pursue licensure as Marriage and Family Therapists in California. The curriculum fulfills all state licensure requirements for Marriage and Family Therapy as specified in the Business code.
