The Master of Science in Mathematics with a specialization in Applied Mathematics equips students with practical mathematical techniques while emphasizing computational proficiency. To earn this degree, candidates must complete 30 course units and either pass two comprehensive exams or complete a thesis/project. Most students finish the program within five semesters.
Our graduate offerings span pure mathematics, applied mathematics, mathematics education, and applied statistics. We focus on establishing solid fundamentals while introducing students to advanced methodologies. Our program fosters close mentorship between students and faculty.
These programs cater to both traditional students and working professionals. Graduate classes typically begin at 4PM or later, with most courses meeting twice weekly (either Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday). Certain mathematics education and applied statistics courses feature once-weekly sessions to better serve employed professionals.
