Qualification Requirements

Bachelor's degree in geology from an accredited institution, with an expected 3.0 GPA in geology courses, which normally includes the equivalent to core courses of the Cal State Fullerton Geology B.S. program and a 2.5 GPA in related science and mathematics courses, or, in the case of a bachelor's degree in a related area, a selection of science courses deemed as adequate preparation for further study in geology by the Department Graduate Committee.

Official Transcripts are required from the university where the bachelor's degree is earned. Submit a word-for-word certified English translation along with the Official original-language transcripts.
Have earned a cumulative grade-point average of at least 2.5 from the last degree completed by the candidate or have attained a grade-point average of at least 2.5 (A=4.0) in the last 60 semester (90 quarter) units attempted.
