Qualification Requirements

You are eligible to apply as a graduate student if you have earned a degree equivalent to a U.S. bachelor's degree.
You must have completed a four-year college course of study and hold an acceptable baccalaureate degree from an institution accredited by a regional accrediting association or an equivalent academic preparation before enrollment in the program.
Be in good academic standing at the last college or university attended.
Official Transcripts are required from the university where the bachelor's degree is earned. Submit a word-for-word certified English translation along with the Official original-language transcripts.
Applicants graduated with an undergraduate degree in engineering or computer science:

Minimum GPA of 2.5 for applicants graduated from domestic (U.S.) institutions.
Minimum GPA of 2.5 for applicants graduated from ABET-accredited international institutions.
Pre-requisite courses: BSEE upper-division core courses such as EE 309, EE 310, EE 323, and EE 409 or their equivalent with a GPA of 3.0 (B) or better.
Applicants graduated with an undergraduate degree other than engineering or computer science:

Minimum GPA of 3.0 for applicants graduated from domestic (U.S.) institutions.
Minimum GPA of 3.0 for applicants with undergraduate degrees from non-ABET accredited international institutions.
Prerequisite courses: BSEE core courses such as EE 203, EE 245, EE 303, EE 308, EE 309, EE 310, EE 323, and EE 409, or their equivalent with a GPA of 3.0 (B) or better.
Appropriate prerequisites must be completed prior to taking any graduate-level courses.
Students with GPA lower than 3.0, or degrees from non-ABET accredited universities or undergraduate majors other than Electrical Engineering may be considered for conditional admission with appropriate prerequisite courses assigned. However, prerequisites must be made up prior to advancing to classified standing and must be completed with a minimum GPA of 3.0 (B).
