This graduate program in Spanish language and literature caters to diverse student groups: individuals planning to pursue doctoral studies, current or aspiring high school and community college educators, and those seeking advanced education beyond their bachelor's degree. For detailed program specifications, please contact the department's graduate committee chair.
The department maintains that language learning should empower students to engage in both spoken and written communication, develop cultural awareness of global societies, bridge connections with other academic fields to access knowledge beyond English-language resources, deepen understanding of linguistic and cultural systems, and actively participate in local and international communities.
