The Master of Arts in Music program aims to enhance students' professional skills, foster independent learning capabilities, and allow for specialized focus within their selected musical discipline
Our curriculum offers both undergraduate and graduate-level music education for aspiring performers, composers, private instructors, and those pursuing advanced degrees in performance or composition. The program meets California's subject matter requirements for music teaching credentials and provides graduate-level training for academic careers, professional development for K-12 educators, and community college instruction. Additionally, it offers general music exposure for community members and non-music majors.
Fresno State's Master of Arts in Music program strengthens professional expertise, promotes lifelong learning skills, and enables deeper exploration of students' chosen musical specialization.
