Key competencies including Phonemic Awareness, Phonics, Fluency, Vocabulary, Comprehension, along with literary analysis and written composition, are cultivated through culturally relevant experiences, socially contextualized methods, and materials that sustain diverse cultural traditions. This Master of Arts program in Education with a concentration in reading/language arts prepares educators for specialized roles as classroom teachers, resource specialists, reading consultants, diagnosticians, and supervisors in various educational settings, while also qualifying graduates for publishing industry roles and doctoral studies.
