The Industrial Technology program at California State University, Fresno prepares students for management and leadership positions in various industries. Students gain essential skills to operate and oversee advanced technologies in agricultural information systems, manufacturing, processing and packaging, quality systems, and transportation. Through a combination of classroom teaching, online learning, and practical laboratory work, supported by dedicated faculty and staff, students develop critical thinking abilities and are inspired to innovate. The undergraduate program offers specialized technical tracks in automotive technologies, food processing and packaging, manufacturing quality, and spatial technology, all built upon a solid foundation of technology and management core courses.
The Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology holds accreditation from the Association of Technology Management and Applied Engineering (ATMAE). The department received the maximum accreditation term of six years, which remains effective until 2024.
The primary objective of the Industrial Technology program is to equip individuals for technical and industrial management careers. Graduates pursue roles such as plant engineer, fleet service representative, manufacturing engineer, operations supervisor, production planning analyst, production scheduling coordinator, and quality systems supervisor.
Have graduated from high school (earning a high school diploma), have earned a Certificate of General Education Development (GED) or have passed the California High School Proficiency Examination (CHSPE)
English language Score: TOEFL – 61 iBT, or IELTS – 6.0 or with 5.5 Band score in each section, or ELS Language Centers - Level 112, or Pearson's Test of English – 45. Application Deadlines: Fall - July 1 and Spring - November 1.
