The Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Business merges fundamental undergraduate studies in agricultural economics with essential business administration and agricultural science coursework. This program enables students to gain expertise in agribusiness operations, agricultural financial systems, market strategies for agricultural products, farm operations management, and food sector administration.
The Agricultural Business Department provides a bachelor's degree program requiring at least 120 credit units. This includes a general education foundation of 51 units minimum. The major itself consists of 61-62 units, with variations depending on supplementary major prerequisites. Alongside general education, the program mandates DS 71 or Math 75, plus Agricultural Business 1. These extra courses can fulfill GE categories B4 and D3, though students must complete them regardless of how they satisfy these GE categories. The remaining units (7-8) depend on how writing proficiency requirements are met. The curriculum is organized into four key components: agricultural fundamentals, business management principles, agricultural economics essentials, and career specialization tracks.
