The Biotechnology Certificate Program (BCP) is a selective, capacity-restricted initiative that combines practical laboratory experience with theoretical education in molecular life sciences. Founded in 1986, it addresses the workforce demands of the fast-growing Bay Area biotech sector. Every laboratory course offers at least 90 hours of practical instruction, with the program's content regularly revised to align with the evolving requirements of both academic and industrial biotech research facilities.
