The School of Social Work provides a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree available through flexible one-year, two-year, or three-year study plans. Our MSW programs are offered in both traditional on-campus settings and through distributed learning (DL), enabling students to complete most coursework online while attending occasional campus sessions. These programs blend comprehensive academic training with hands-on practicum opportunities for aspiring social workers preparing to serve children, families, groups, and communities.
The MSW's advanced generalist approach equips students with versatile knowledge, practical skills, and professional values for advanced practice across various levels - from individual and family work to organizational and community engagement. The concentration year focuses on four key areas: direct client services, community and organizational development, policy analysis and implementation, and research-informed practice.
