The School of Social Work provides a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree available through flexible one-year, two-year, or three-year study plans. Our MSW programs are offered in two delivery methods: traditional on-campus instruction and distributed learning (DL), enabling students to complete most coursework online while making occasional campus visits. These programs blend comprehensive academic training with hands-on practicum opportunities for aspiring social workers preparing to serve children, families, groups, and communities.
The MSW program's advanced generalist focus equips students with versatile knowledge, practical skills, and professional ethics for advanced practice across various settings - from individual and family counseling to organizational leadership and community development. The concentration year emphasizes four key areas: direct client services, community and organizational work, policy evaluation and implementation, and practice-oriented research.
