The Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) program, structured for simultaneous participation in a credential program, provides an integrated curriculum rooted in social justice principles. This framework focuses on key educational aspects including reflective practice, instructional leadership, collaborative learning, and research-based teaching methods. With deep partnerships in public education, the program ensures aspiring teachers gain extensive hands-on experience through classroom observations, teaching practice, and leadership roles within TK-12 settings. Graduates earn both their MAT degree and eligibility for California teaching credential recommendation.
