The Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering equips graduates for professional practice or advanced studies across diverse engineering fields. This comprehensive curriculum covers environmental engineering, soil mechanics and foundations, structural analysis and design, surveying and mapping, transportation and traffic engineering, and water resources and hydraulics. The program focuses on high-quality undergraduate instruction, primarily delivered by tenure-track faculty, and promotes active learning through extensive laboratory work and co-curricular engagements.
Graduates of this civil engineering program are ready to immediately enter various professional careers and receive a strong undergraduate foundation in fundamental principles that supports continued education at advanced levels.
Students must have a completion of a university-preparatory secondary/high school program with a 3.0 (B in the U.S. system) or "Very Good" GPA.
University-preparatory mathematics courses include beginning algebra, geometry, and intermediate algebra. All must have passing grades (C or better, or the equivalent)
