The Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering program holds accreditation from ABET's Engineering Accreditation Commission, available at https://www.abet.org, meeting both General Criteria and specific Program Criteria for Electrical, Computer, Communications, and Telecommunication(s) Engineering.
Computer Engineering occupies a unique interdisciplinary space bridging Computer Science and Electrical Engineering. This discipline focuses on analog/digital circuit design, embedded systems, computer architecture, operating systems, system design, networking, signal processing, robotics, computer vision, graphics, and other computing areas with significant hardware components. Professionals in this field frequently collaborate with engineers, scientists, and software developers.
Since Fall 2008, the Computer and Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Department has been housed in a modern facility. The department maintains its own network infrastructure featuring Unix/Linux servers, multiple specialized labs including programming workspaces, tutoring centers, advanced workstations, isolated network environments, AI/visualization spaces, DSP/communications setups, digital electronics workbenches, power systems areas, and robotics/control systems laboratories. Additionally, students have access to a dedicated library and study space equipped with computers.
