Companies require individuals who can analyze and articulate ideas effectively. Our curriculum delivers a learning experience focused on essential business competencies. Alumni of Humboldt's business administration program often share: The numerous writing and speaking tasks were invaluable for my professional growth.
We aim to prepare students for continuous development and leadership in critical areas such as sustainable practices, global commerce, innovation, and corporate ethics. This is achieved through a foundational curriculum that connects to specialized courses and culminates in our capstone classes: Strategic Management and Business in Society.
What sets our business program apart is its sustainability focus, entrepreneurial foundation, and emphasis on practical application. Students gain real-world experience through various opportunities, including a selective internship program offering both Smullin Internship stipends and course credits.
Our strength lies in being a teaching-focused institution with small class sizes, especially in upper-level courses. This enables us to give students regular practice in written communication, public speaking, and presentations. Some courses employ case studies, allowing learners to demonstrate their knowledge in authentic business scenarios.
