Biochemists and molecular biologists explore the chemical processes of living organisms. Their work encompasses protein analysis, metabolic pathways, and the mechanisms behind DNA, RNA, and protein production. Our curriculum caters to students pursuing a bachelor's degree in science, as well as those preparing for medical or graduate programs. Early in the program, you'll gain hands-on experience with essential laboratory equipment and molecular techniques. You'll master recombinant DNA methods like PCR and gene sequencing to investigate genetic architecture. The program highlights genomics and bioinformatics—critical tools for designing and executing experiments. The initial two years establish foundational knowledge, while the latter years focus on biotechnological applications. You'll collaborate with faculty on research projects and share discoveries at academic conferences.
