The Geological and Planetary Science (GPS) program offers students comprehensive education in earth and space sciences, while encouraging connections with foundational courses in math, physics, chemistry, and biology taken during initial years at Caltech. Within the GPS major, students can choose to focus on specific areas such as geology, geobiology, geochemistry, geophysics, or planetary science through specialized tracks.
International citizens must have completed Caltech's required academic preparation during their secondary school career.
Additional requirements of our international citizen applicants: TOEFL scores: Required of all international citizens unless 1) your native language is English or 2) you have studied for two or more years in a school where English is the language of instruction.
