The field's educational program covers computational mathematics, fluid dynamics, thermal energy transfer, reaction kinetics, reactor engineering, and system regulation. Professionals in this field may specialize in producing inorganic materials like ceramics and semiconductors, developing organic substances such as polymers and medicines, or working in biotechnological, pharmaceutical, or medical sectors.
International citizens must have completed Caltech's required academic preparation during their secondary school career.
