The Brown University/Trinity Rep MFA programs integrate comprehensive academic study with hands-on professional theater experience. Brown's Department of Theatre Arts and Performance Studies boasts world-renowned faculty and exceptional teaching standards. Trinity Rep contributes its rich heritage of resident artists, offering valuable creative resources and practical industry exposure. The Brown/Trinity collaboration features MFA programs in both Acting and Directing. Participants across all disciplines frequently collaborate, engaging with MFA Playwriting candidates and PhD students from Brown's theater department. Graduates of non-U.S. colleges and universities who have completed the equivalent of a U.S. bachelor's degree may apply for admission to the Brown University Graduate School.
Regarding TOEFL, the recommended minimum score for admission consideration is 577 on the paper-based test and 90 on the Internet-based test. For IELTS, the recommended minimum overall band score is 7.
