The French and Francophone Studies graduate program offers advanced education in French language, literature, and culture.
Our faculty specialize in diverse areas spanning medieval to contemporary periods across multiple Francophone regions. The curriculum provides instruction in literary theory, critical analysis, digital humanities applications, linguistics, narrative studies, textual interpretation, and sociocultural/psychoanalytic approaches. Research concentrations explore intercultural exchanges within French-speaking communities, gender and racial studies, and intersections between literature, film, and philosophy.
