The CCMB provides a Ph.D. in Computational Biology with specialized tracks in Computer Science or BioMed, preparing future scientists for advanced research in this interdisciplinary domain. Throughout their doctoral studies, candidates will create and implement innovative computational, mathematical, and statistical methods to address biological challenges. The Computational Biology Ph.D. consists of three distinct training pathways, sharing foundational coursework while incorporating discipline-specific requirements from Computer Science, Molecular, Cell Biology & Biochemistry (MCB), and Ecology and Evolutionary Biology (EEB). Prospective students must indicate their preferred program. Those drawn to the connection between Applied Mathematics and Computational Biology may apply directly to the Applied Mathematics Ph.D. program and are advised to reach out to appropriate CCMB faculty members.
