Students who achieve a 3.3 GPA or above in their public policy focus courses become eligible for honors recognition. Based at the Watson Institute for International and Public Affairs, this public policy program explores human societies through an interdisciplinary and comparative lens, with special emphasis on governance systems and societal norms. The curriculum centers on examining urgent social challenges while developing, executing, and assessing more effective policies and approaches. By applying knowledge to enhance opportunities for individuals across economic spectrums - who often hold divergent views about collective welfare - public policy emerges as both a principled and politically charged endeavor that blends artistic judgment with scientific methodology. This collaborative field demands diverse specialists working in concert across multiple environments.
