The French and Francophone Studies concentration focuses on developing an interdisciplinary, language-intensive, and text-based comprehension of French and Francophone literature and cultures. Students explore diverse texts and analytical viewpoints through their studies, covering various literary forms, media types, and cultural settings. The program offers chances to examine different eras of French history along with Francophone societies outside of France.
Students applying for first-year admission must have received a high school diploma or equivalent credential prior to the fall in which they would begin study at Brown.
