The bilingual childhood education program trains future educators to teach in dual-language instructional environments. Students gain comprehensive knowledge of bilingual education principles and applications, covering subjects such as dual-language acquisition, educational research, teaching methods, bilingual literacy, subject-area instruction in two languages, and multicultural pedagogy. Option A caters to individuals already certified in Childhood Education, while Option B serves career changers with 18 extra education credits and a bilingual classroom teaching practicum. Both pathways feature a 15-credit bilingual extension that can be pursued as a stand-alone advanced certification (refer to Advanced Certificate in Bilingual Education).
